Longoria Parker Launches Easter Tent Crusade, Campbell Postpones Haiti Trip
Campbell Postpones Haiti Trip
Naomi Campbell has reportedly postponed a planned trip to Haiti following an outbreak of malaria in the earthquake-ravaged country.
The British supermodel has been raising money to boost aid efforts in the Caribbean nation since the January (10) tremor, which killed hundreds of thousands of people and left many more homeless.
Campbell, who hosted star-studded fashion shows in New York and London to help Haiti, was due to fly there later this month (Apr10) to lend a hand to survivors of the earthquake - but the trip has now been scrapped after the mosquito-borne disease began to sweep the region.
An insider tells Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper that Campbell still intends to visit Haiti in the coming months.
Longoria Parker Launches Easter Tent Crusade

In related news actress Eva Longoria Parker has launched an Easter crusade to raise cash for 100,000 tents in two weeks to help struggling Haitians during the imminent rainy season.
The Desperate Housewives star has linked up with online charity AHomeInHaiti.org to raise awareness about the misery facing Haitians left homeless by the nation's recent earthquake.
She says, "The rainy season is coming to Haiti any day now and there's 700,000 homeless Haitians still today and once the rain comes, there's mud that carries malaria and typhoid.
"Haiti is still not really structured to handle those type of diseases, that are really simple and curable, but for (the) elderly and young kids and people recovering from injury, it's really devastating. So we're trying to get tents there as fast as we can."
The actress is urging fans to donate funds via the website.
As we went to press, cash for more than 5,000 tents had been raised.
