Tom Hanks and his actress wife Rita Wilson are seeking unspecified damages from an insurance broker who allegedly embezzled them out of a fortune.
The couple claims its former agent defrauded them and overcharged them for more than 20 years.
Hanks and Wilson only discovered the alleged scam last month (Feb11) when they switched brokers.
Their new agent alerted the movie couple to the broker's apparent fraud.
The pair's new suit, obtained by TMZ.com, suggests the overcharging scheme may have cost Hanks and Wilson hundreds of thousands of dollars.
