A sequel to 'Blade Runner' is rumoured to be in the works.
'Eagle Eye' co-writer Travis Wright claims to be working on a follow-up to the 1982 sci-fi Blockbuster, which starred Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer.
The scribe - who says producer Bud Yorkin, who worked on the first film, is involved in the project - revealed he has written several treatments at a scriptwriter's screening for his new Shia LaBeouf-starring thriller at the weekend.
Neither Yorkin nor Wright have a stake in the rights to the film.
The original film - based on the novel 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' by Philip K. Dick - ended on an ambiguous note regarding the main character, Rick Decker.
For books based on the movie version were later written by K. W. Jeter.
