Panettiere's Parents Split

Actress Hayden Panettiere's parents have filed for divorce.

The Heroes star's mum, former soap actress Lesley Panettiere, recently filed divorce proceedings against husband Alan in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple hit the headlines in 2008 after Alan was charged with misdemeanour battery for allegedly striking his wife in the face.

He pleaded nocontest and was sentenced to 24-months probation.

According to Tmz.com, Lesley is also seeking spousal support and joint custody of their 17-year-old son, actor Jansen, who is still considered aminor.
