Hepburn Dress Sells For $96,000

Audrey Hepburn’s signature cocktail dress went under the hammer for $96,000 (58,890) at a London auction.

The little black dress which she wore in the 1966 movie How to Steal a Million was sold to anonymous bidder at a Kerry Taylor Auction on Tuesday.

Hepburn won an Oscar for her first starring rile as a runaway princess in "Roman Holiday,".

She went on to star in Eliza in "My Fair Lady" as a divergent  cockney and a terrorized blind woman in "Wait Until Dark

The dress was the highlight of a Hepburn wardrobe sale, which raised over $428,000 for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund.

Another item which was auctioned off for sale was her ivory satin bridal gown designed by the Fontana Sisters which sold for £13,800
