Hilary Duff's lap laugh

Hilary Duff does not perform lap dances.

The singer-and-actress admits she was shocked when she was told she had apparently been seductively gyrating for her ice hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie in a busy nightclub.

She recently said: Everybody makes mistakes, but I just don't think it's for everybody to watch

She said: "I mean, little ol' me? It's shocking. People love to believe it - but it's not true. And they're so descriptive about these lap dances. I don't even know how to do a lap dance!"

The 'Lizzie McGuire' star also insists wedding bells are not yet on the horizon for her and Mike.

She continued: "I'm a relationship person. Now it's all over the internet that I'm getting engaged to my boyfriend. The truth is, I just like to wear rings."

This is not the first time Hilary has complained about the attention surrounding her private life.

She recently said: "Everybody makes mistakes, but I just don't think it's for everybody to watch. It comes down to that I want people to focus on my work and I want to have my life completely separate from that."
