Hilary Duff is following in the footsteps of fellow actress Rachel Bilson - by teaming up with fashion label DKNY to create her own fashion line.

Actress/singer Duff is partnering up with American designer Donna Karan's label for the collection of rock-inspired denim jeans, tunics and scarves.

She says, "I took time finding the right fashion house to collaborate with in a design partnership. I have always adored and worn DKNY jeans, so it made perfect sense to reach out to them.

"We hit it off immediately, sharing a design vision offering something special for young women like me."

Bilson co-created her own fashion line with DKNY last year (08).

Duff shot to fame in the television series Lizzie McGuire before branching out into movies as well as having a successful music career.

She is set to star in the movie remake of classic Bonnie and Clyde in the role of Bonnie Parker however Duff and Faye Dunaway, who originally played the role, fell out over the casting.

Last week, the caustic Dunaway asked, "Couldn't they have at least cast a real actress?"

And, rather than take the high road, Duff has retaliated by suggesting her fans don't know who Dunaway is.
