Hilton Gardener Interrupts Burglary

Nicky Hilton has a gardener to thank for stopping a full-scale raid on her Hollywood home.

Burglars made off with little more than trinkets when a handyman stumbled across the recent break-in.

They also made off with the stars laptop and Lalique crystal collection.

Her socialite sister Paris insists it could have been much worse.

She says, "Thank God the gardener actually saw someone in the house and scared them away. They broke the window.

Adding: "We couldn't find the cats; we thought the cats had escaped through the window, but they were hiding under a bed, thank God. It was scary."
