Grant's interview after he was caught with Hollywood hooker Divine Brown beat President Barack Obama's history-making appearance in March (09) and Arnold Schwarzenegger's interview in 2003 when he announced his candidacy for California Governor.
Leno raised laughs when he opened his July, 1995 chat with Grant by asking the British actor, "What the hell were you thinking?"
President Obama's interview in March marked the first time a sitting president had appeared on a late-night chat show.
