Hogan Sues Lawyers Over 2007 Crash Representation

Retired wrestler Hulk Hogan has filed a lawsuit against his former lawyers for billing him over $1 million (£666,670) for services he allegesshould have been provided free of charge.

The reality TV star is angry at Zuckerman Spaeder representatives for their handling of his son Nick Bollea's 2007 car crash, which left passenger John Graziano in hospital with severe brain damage.

Hogan claims executives at the law firm were contacted by experts at his car insurance company, Progressive, who offered to provide the the starwith legal representation for free.

In court documents filed on Monday (14Sep09) in Pinellas County, Florida and obtained by Tmz.com, Hogan alleges Zuckerman Spaeder executives were aware of the Progressive offer for 17 months before alerting him to thefree services, costing him "in excess of one million dollars" in legal fees.

Furthermore, Hogan claims when he was finally told of the Progressive offer, his policy holders had "terminated the relationship" and refused tocover the bulk of his legal costs.

He is demanding unspecified damages.

Hogan's son served 166 days of an eight-month prison sentence last year(08) for his part in the high speed collision.

Graziano was finally released from a Florida hospital last week (09Sep09).
