Quantum of Solace the new James Bond movie has shot to the top of the U.S. box office, after grossing $70.4 million (£47 million) in its opening weekend.
The huge sum is a record for a 007 movie, and trumps the $40 million (£26.6 million) Casino Royale earned in its first three days in 2006.
Bond forced Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa into second place; the animated sequel took $36.1 million (£24 million).
Paul Rudd's comedy Role Models came in third with a little over $11 million (£7 million), followed by High School Musical 3 in fourth place and Clint Eastwood's Changeling in fifth.
