Jane Fonda has been forced to end her run on Broadway early due to a conflicting schedule issue.

The curtain will fall on Moises Kaufman's 33 Variations on Thursday (21May09) because of a weekend engagement the actress couldn't reschedule.

The limited engagement was supposed to close on Sunday (24May09).

Producer David Binder tells BroadwayWorld.com, "Jane has had a scheduling conflict on her calendar for several months, but, despite many efforts to work around her schedule, we all agreed today that it is best to close on Thursday".
