Jay Leno in Car Drama

U.S. TV host Jay Leno was given a scare on Friday (22Apr11) when his vintage sports car broke down and began bellowing smoke.

The presenter was driving through Burbank, California in a vintage steam-powered sports car, but the 1906 Stanley Steamer cut out and left him stuck by the side of the road.

Police officers subsequently attended the scene after spotting flames shooting out of the car, but they soon realized the situation was under control as Leno was attempting to re-light the car's fire-powered engine with a torch, according to Tmz.com.

Leno was able to fix the problem and continue on his way.
