CONNELLY STUNNED BY STEVIE MEETING AT LIVE 8
Actress JENNIFER CONNELLY enjoyed a "religious" moment backstage at the Philadelphia Live 8 concert on Saturday (02JUL05) when she met her idol STEVIE WONDER for the first time.
The Oscar-winner was wandering around backstage when she spotted her hero in his trailer and started "loitering" to get close to him.
She says, "I was like a fan, fumbling... when someone came up to me and said, 'Hi, I work with Stevie, would you like to come and say hello?' I am like, 'Yeah.'
"I go up the stairs and go in (to his trailer) and I had sort of a religious experience.
"He hugged me and I was so tongue-tied. The first thing I said was, 'You're huge... I mean this is huge.'
"I was completely starstruck, which I've never experienced before. I was teary... He's really a legend. I've met lots of famous people and I don't really think about it. I couldn't talk. I felt like such an idiot."
