Jennifer Hudson and her family have lost a staggering 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms) between them on the WeightWatchers diet plan.

The singeractress has shed more than 80 pounds (36 kilograms) since becoming the face of WeightWatchers in 2010, and her relatives have also adopted the calorie-counting system.

The clan has shaped up with Hudson's encouragement, and she admits the joint health kick has helped them bond.

She tells Lucky magazine, "It's great because before we eat - say, before a holiday or a big family reunion - lots of us are saying, 'How many points is this? How many points is that?' So we're together on it".

Hudson still allows herself sweet treats on occasion, but reveals her wrestler fiance David Otunga rarely gives in to his junk food cravings.

She adds, "Cheating for him is... one chicken wing, instead of skinless chicken breast! He is, like, no carbs; he only uses two or three seasonings, total, ever. He really understands".
