Jerry Hall is insisting her autobiography has been postponed - not shelved by the publishers as previously reported.

The former supermodel, who was married to Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger for nine years until 1999, had lined up a $1.6 million (£1 million) deal with publishing giant Harper Collins for her memoirs.

But book bosses announced the deal was off in May (09), despite Hall receiving an $800,000 (£500,000) advance for the tome.

Reports surfaced that Harper Collins chiefs had hoped for an "explosive" tell-all text about her life with the rock star, but were left unimpressed with the notes.

It's been put on hold. Hopefully, it's coming out at some point. It was a mutual decision to wait. I'm not really ready to put it outyet; maybe in a few years. "I've found writing it cathartic, though.

But Hall, who declined to talk about the deal at the time, insists it was a mutual decision to not publish the work and that she wants to wait afew years before letting the public read her life story.

She says, "It's been put on hold. Hopefully, it's coming out at some point. It was a mutual decision to wait. I'm not really ready to put it outyet; maybe in a few years. "I've found writing it cathartic, though.

I think as you mature you do remember things differently, or certain things become more important thanyou thought they were when you were younger".
