Jessica Marais and James Stewart are set to become parents following their high-profile engagement.

The Packed To The Rafters stars, who play onscreen lovers in the award-winning drama series, became engaged last year (10) after enjoying an offscreen romance, and they have now revealed they are expecting a baby.
 
A statement from Marais' management company reads, "James Stewart and Jessica Marais announce they are expecting their first child.

"The couple are excited and looking forward to this next phase in their lives."
 
The stars, who first met at an audition for the TV show, plan to marry next year (12).
