Simpson Not Ready To Adopt.

Pop star JESSICA SIMPSON has laughed off reports she is in the process of adopting an orphan, insisting she's not ready to undertake such a big responsibility.

During her three-year marriage to NICK LACHEY, Simpson often spoke of her desire to adopt a child and recently reiterated her dream of being a mother.

In recent weeks, it was reported Simpson had been visiting a Mexican orphanage to choose a prospective son or daughter.

However, Simpson says, "I'm not adopting a child! No, not yet. But that's not a silly matter.

"I support an orphanage in Mexico and I've supported it ever since I was 13 years old. That's where all those rumours came from, but I'm making a trip pretty soon actually."

In other news the separated couple are reportedly fighting over who will get ownership of their luxury $1.5 million (£835,000) condominium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
