Joan Collins Slams Botox

Former Dynasty star Joan Collins has vowed never to use Botox - because the long-term effects of the wrinkle-fighting injections remain unknown.

The 75-year-old actress is baffled as to why her Hollywood peers often pay to undergo the cosmetic treatment, insisting she doesn't like the frozen facial expressions it creates.

I think Botox is poison. I don't believe in it. We haven't found out the long-term effects of what putting botulism in our faces can do. And I don't like that look.

And she maintains it is dangerous to use Botox without fully researching its side effects.

She tells Britain's OK! magazine, "I think Botox is poison. I don't believe in it. We haven't found out the long-term effects of what putting botulism in our faces can do. And I don't like that look."

And the veteran star believes it is possible to hold back the years without resorting to drastic treatment.

She adds, "I think I look pretty good and a lot of it is down to my skincare regime, staying out of the sun, having a very positive attitude to life and not putting on weight."
