According to the latest tabloids, Julie Walters is being considered to take the role of MP and protestor for public morals, Mary Whitehouse for a new BBC drama.
Mary passed away five years aged 91, after battling to improve standards on the small screen for more than thirty years.
Amanda Coe, who penned Channel 4's hit show Shameless has apparently done the script.
A source is quoted in the Sun newspaper as saying: “Mary was such a big personality. It promises to be a fascinating film.”
