Kate Winslet says she got "very lucky" at this year's Golden Globe Awards.

The British actress was "shocked and overwhelmed" to win two accolades - Best Actress in a Drama from 'Revolutionary Road' and Best Supporting Actress for 'The Reader' - at the prestigious ceremony earlier this month.

The 33-year-old actress - who has been nominated twice in the Best Leading Actress category at this year's BAFTA Awards, for her roles in 'Revolutionary Road' and 'The Reader' - also laughed off criticism about her Golden Globe Awards' acceptance speech.

Asked if she was planning to practice a speech for the BAFTA Awards ceremony, Kate laughed: Oh my God! No! Absolutely not! I haven't thought about it at all, I really haven't

Asked if she was planning to practice a speech for the BAFTA Awards ceremony, Kate laughed: "Oh my God! No! Absolutely not! I haven't thought about it at all, I really haven't."

Kate's 'Revolutionary Road' co-star Leonardo DiCaprio insisted the five-time Oscar-nominated actress should win a BAFTA, adding she is "long overdue" for an Oscar.

He said: "I absolutely think Kate should win an Oscar. It's long overdue. I think she's well deserved of that.

"She's been nominated so many times and she's such a talent and able to convey so much complexity in her characters. It's amazing to see her grow up in this industry and really just be able to hone her talents in an amazing way."

Speaking about Kate's recent awards triumph, he added: "It was an unbelievable achievement. Not one but two in one night - I don't know what the records are but it seems to be that has never happened. Certainly not for supporting and best actress."'Revolutionary Road' is released in the UK on January 30.
