Katherine Heigl has secured her position as the new queen of romantic comedies with her performance in her latest movie '27 Dresses'.
In the hilarious new film, Katherine - who received rave reviews after co-starring with Seth Rogen in 'Knocked Up' last year, and won an Emmy for her portrayal of Dr. Isobel Stevens in hit US TV show 'Grey's Anatomy' - plays Jane, a woman who has been a bridesmaid 27 times but has not found time to concentrate on her own love life.
After harbouring a secret crush on her boss George, played by Ed Burns, for years, Jane has to come to terms with him falling in love with her sister Tess, played by Malin Akerman.
However, when Jane finds out Tess has spun George a web of lies to make him propose to her, she faces a tough decision: will she tell George the truth and ruin her sister's chance at happiness or will she choose to let them go through with the wedding?
Meanwhile, Jane - who has always been obsessed with weddings - comes face to face with her favourite wedding announcement journalist, Kevin Doyle, played by James Marsden, who turns out to be a romance cynic and completely different from how Jane had imagined him.
But as Kevin meets up with Jane more frequently as friends, without telling her he is writing a feature on her for his newspaper, the New York Journal, he begins to see beyond the 'always a bridesmaid' character and see the vulnerable woman inside.
After his feature is printed, Jane must decide whether or not to forgive Kevin, who has exploited her to further his own career.
