Diesel has allegedly been in contact with reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel about appearing in the sequel, leading to reports he has signed on as a producer for the franchise.

Efron To Star In Footloose Remake?

Hairspray heart-throb Zac Efron is set to step into Kevin Bacon's dancing shoes for a remake of eighties classic Footloose.

Efron is reuniting with High School Musical director Kenny Ortega to play streetwise teen Ren McCormack, Moviehole reports.

The remake is likely to be expanded from a dance movie to a full blown musical.

While Bacon was in his mid-20s playing McCormack, at 19 Efron is the perfect age.
