Keanu Reeves' dark king

Keanu Reeves found it hard to relate to the dark character he plays in new cop drama 'Speed Kings'.

The 'Speed' actor plays Tom Ludlow - a policeman implicated in the execution of a fellow officer - in the new film but says he had trouble empathising with the character.

He said: "There's a lot of violence in it, emotional and physical, and violence of betrayal, so it was a challenge - a place you had to be in.

"I just had to use my imagination and the story, just to tell the story truthfully."

Keanu also said he trained with real policemen to make the portrayal of Ludlow more realistic.

He said: "I had the great benefit of talking to a lot of cops, a lot of training with cops, training with the director David Ayer and the martial artist he works with too. It really helped me."
