Chesney to Donate Profits

Kenny Chesney, the American country singer is going to donate the proceeds from his forthcoming concert in Alabama to the victims of the April tornadoes.

Kenny is booked to perform in Tuscaloosa on the 25 May and will donate all the profits to the charity GiveTuscaloosa.com.

  He says, "When we first heard about this tragedy we were stunned, as we have so many fans in the area and have enjoyed every visit that we've made there over the years.

  "Mayor Maddox convinced us that this is a great opportunity to bring the people of Tuscaloosa together in a positive way, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help them in this way."

The southern states of America have been devastated after a number of deadly storms at the end of April.
