Kevin Federline is reinventing himself as a hip-hop mogul.

Britney Spears' ex-husband hasn't given up on the music industry, despite his failed attempts to become a hit rapper - he's now grooming young rap wannabes.

A source says, "Kevin has been actively producing, nurturing new artists and doing it all from his home studio, so he can be there for his kids whenever they need him.

"He loves the music business and is committed to making it a career for himself, even if it's not as a singer".

Federline's debut album, Playing With Fire, was one of 2006's biggest flops - it had sold a reported 16,000 copies when shipments of the album ceased in January 2007.
