Kevin Spacey is demanding Internet pranksters stop 'killing off' stars by spreading fake rumours about their untimely demise, after his pal Jeff Goldblum found himself a target of the morbid hoax.
As Hollywood came to terms with the deaths of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett last week (25Jun09), reports began to surface online claiming the Jurassic Park star had been killed on the set of his latest movie in New Zealand.
I just talked to his managerKevin Spacey on the Goldblum rumour
Goldblum's publicist was quick to blast the rumours, branding them "completely untrue", while reps for Britney Spears and George Clooney have also had to fight off similar claims.
And Spacey has become so fed up with the distasteful pranks, he is calling for an end to all the sick death reports.
He says, "Jeff Goldblum is alive and well. I just talked to his manager. Stop these stupid rumours".
