Kardashian Claims Self-Defence Over Fight Lawsuit

Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian insists she acted in "self-defence" when she became embroiled in a scuffle with a woman in Los Angeles in 2009.

Chantal Spears has sued the socialite over claims she sustained serious injuries when Kardashian allegedly hit her outside the Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood.

Kardashian has now filed a response to the lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to TMZ.com, claiming she was provoked into becoming physical with Spears and that her actions were "reasonably necessary for her self-defence and safety".

The dispute reportedly started after Spears told Kardashian's basketball player partner Lamar Odom he was "too young to be married".

Spears is seeking unspecified damages.
