Kid Rock training with surfing legend Hamilton

Kid Rock has found a new personal trainer in surfing pro Laird Hamilton.

Rock discovered that he was neighbours with Hamilton in Malibu, California and the two have now become close friends.

 Kid Rock, whos real name is Bob Ritchie, has praised Hamiltons pool work outs have helped battle his hangovers after the rockers famous parties. 

 He told Men's Journal magazine, "Laird's running the show. He's the guy yelling at you the whole time... He leaves me alone a little bit because he knows I'm the skinny kid in the rock band, but he's real fun to work out with."

 The workouts involve lifting weights from the bottle of the pool and standing on golfballs.

  The surfer says. "It (standing on golfballs) hurts like s**t, but it'll light up your nervous system."
