Farrah Fawcett made peace with her ex-husband Lee Majors shortly before she lost her battle with cancer, ending a 23-year silence between the former couple.

The Charlie's Angels star, who died at the age of 62 last Thursday (25Jun09), was married to the Six Million Dollar Man from 1973 to 1982.

She had no contact with Majors since 1986, but the actor reportedly kept in touch with her friends to keep track on her condition after she was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006.

A source tells Usmagazine, "When Farrah got diagnosed, and it became public, Lee started calling Farrah's close friends to get updates on her. "He did that for two and a half years.

He just wanted to know how she was doing because he still cared about her as a friend". Majors refrained from contacting her directly until February (09), when he called to wish her a happy birthday and catch up on old times.

The insider adds, "This past February, her birthday, he decided to callher for the first time. They spoke for the first time in 23 years.

"They had a 40-minute phone conversation about her life, and the cancerand it was such a lovely moment for the two of them. I guess it was a very good conversation. They joked, and they got a little bit emotional. "I think it was good given the current situation for closure, otherwisethey never would've spoken again.

I think he always wanted to talk to her again, but he was just afraid to speak to her before". Fawcett never remarried, although she accepted her longterm partner Ryan O'Neal's proposal just days before her passing; the couple never made it down the aisle.
