Widower Liam Neeson has been hailed a "hero" for returning to work just days after the death of his actress wife, Natasha Richardson.
The Taken star halted filming on the Canadian set of Chloe last month (16-Mar-09) after Richardson was rushed to a specialist New York hospital following a skiing accident on the slopes of Mont Tremblant in Montreal.
She failed to regain consciousness from a traumatic brain injury and passed away two days later (18Mar09).
He's suddenly a single parent with absolutely no preparation for thatChloe director Atom Egoyan about Liam Neeson
Richardson was buried near the family home in upstate New York on 22 March (09), but instead of taking an extended period of leave to grieve hisloss, Neeson decided to head back to work and finish the movie shoot.
And Chloe director Atom Egoyan is full of admiration for the brave actor. He tells ET Canada, "He called me and said, 'You know, let's do it right away'. It was really emotional. I think the only way he could have comeback was right after because his family was all there to support his boys. "Liam is heroic.
He came back and finished". But Egoyan insists father-of-two Neeson is still struggling to come to terms with life without Richardson
"(He's) in a state of shock. I think he's trying to absorb (what's happened). He's suddenly a single parent with absolutely no preparation for that. (But he) is surrounded by people that really love him. There is a lot of support".
