Liev Schreiber has credited his children by Naomi Watts with keeping his feet on the ground - the actor is convinced he'd be swept up in Hollywood hype if he wasn't a father.

The X-Men star and partner Watts have two sons, 23 month old Sasha and six month old Samuel.

And Schreiber is so busy running around after his young kids, he has notime to pay attention to articles written about him.

He tells Britain's Attitude magazine, "I've always had a healthy fear of celebrity. The hardest part isn't the paparazzi or being recognised. The hardest part is believing your own press and what happens when it goes away. You've got to be careful of things that are ego driven, they will bite you in the a** when they go away. "It helps to have a kid. You realise there are priorities.

I can mope round and be depressed because no one wants to take my picture anymore butthen my kid needs his diaper changed".

Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber turned down a role in a West End show - because he couldn't bear to be parted from his dog.

The X-Men star was approached and asked to consider leading the cast of drama Glengarry Glen Ross in London last year (08), but he refused the offer and decided to stay at home in New York with his pet pooch.

He tells Britain's Attitude magazine, "I had an offer about six months ago to do Glengarry Glen Ross but I had a dog at the time and the quarantine laws were very strict and I couldn't see my way through coming to England without my dog".

Schreiber also has two young kids by actress partner Naomi Watts, but they would have been able to travel to London with him.
