Schreiber 'Burned' By Theatre Fans' Love for Johansson

Liev Schreiber struggles to focus on his lines before each performance ofBroadway play A View From The Bridge - because lusty teenage boys often use the hushed silence to express their undying love for his co-star Scarlett Johansson.

The pair is currently starring in the Arthur Miller classic on the New York stage, but Schreiber admits his concentration is frequently broken as he prepares for curtain up each night.

He says, "We had a bunch of high school students (at the show one night) and high school students can get a bit rowdy. I remember standing backstage, waiting to go on. The lights dimmed down some 13 year old - and this is something that happens a lot when you star in a play with Scarlett Johansson - he yells out, 'I love you Scarlett, you're so sexy!' This is areally heavy, dramatic play, this is Arthur Miller, A View From The Bridge!"

And Schreiber admits he feels a little left out by the regular declarations of love for sexy Johansson.

He adds, "It just burned me, because it's not like they ever go, 'I love you Liev Schreiber, you're so sexy!'" The stars' Broadway run at the Cort Theatre ends on 4 April (10).
