Lindsay Lohan has escaped another legal headache - officials representing the Los Angeles County District Attorney have opted not to press on with a burglary case hanging over the actress.
The Mean Girls star was reportedly named among the suspects of a theft from a private residence in Hollywood last week (ends24Aug12) but, after the Home owner recanted his claim that jewellery was stolen during a house party, investigators have decided there is insufficient evidence to bring a burglary charge against Lohan, and they have dropped the case.
In documents obtained by TMZ.com the D.A.'s officials have revealed the star was not identified as a suspect by the host of the party and "potential eyewitnesses" who claimed they could identify the suspects have Refused to come forward.
Additionally, none of the suspects were found in possession of the stolen property.
Lohan seemed more than satisfied with the outcome of the week-long drama - she linked to the TMZ.com story on her Twitter.com account.
