Michael Lohan said: "Why he would say such things, I can only speculate. Tony is destitute. He is scraping from the bottom of the barrel.

"I pray for him. He's selling these interviews for money and he's going to get sued for far beyond any money he would have made."

Almeida said: "From a young age, Lindsay dealt with her father's physical, emotional and drug abuses as well as her mother's drinking.

"Dina let her do whatever she wanted, just to keep her happy and working."

The bodyguard alleged Lindsay was allowed to drink underage and to sleep in the same room as her boyfriend when she was just 15.

He also claimed he saw Lindsay sniffing white powder and alleges the troubled star has been crying out for help for years by cutting herself and threatening suicide.

Lindsay's representatives have so far refused to comment.
