Lloyd To Play Scrooge

Addams Family star Christopher Lloyd is to play Ebenezer Scrooge.

The news comes as other stars are lined up to appear in an all-star version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol on stage.

The actor will play the Victorian miser in a production that will also feature Gene Wilder, John Goodman, Jane Seymour and former Frasier star Jane Leeves.

Lloyd joins the likes of Patrick Stewart, Michael Caine, Alistair Sim and Albert Finney among the big name actors who have portrayed Scrooge on stage and screen.

The beloved festive story will be acted out onstage at Los Angeles' home of the Oscars, the Kodak Theatre, for 14 performances, beginning 22 December.
