Actress Mayim Bialik was greeted with "love and support" as she returned to the set of The Big Bang Theory on Thursday, just a day after she was hospitalised following a car accident in Los Angeles.

The former Blossom star was admitted to a medical centre for treatment to an injured thumb after her white Volvo collided with another vehicle on Wednesday.
Bialik, who was photographed in Los Angeles with her right hand in a cast following her release from hospital, headed back to work on the hit TV show 24 hours after the smash, and she was given a warm welcome on set.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "How much do I get love and support from the big band (sic) cast and crew? I went to work today... doing ok. Grateful. And tired".
