Meg Ryan doesn't think it is possible to have a successful career and a successful relationship.The actress - whose marriage to Dennis Quaid failed when she had an affair with her 'Proof of Life' co-star Russell Crowe in 2000 - has never understood how some women can balance both their personal and professional lives.She said: "It's very difficult to be a career person and have a relationship. I didn't succeed at doing it at all. It's incredibly hard."I think you have to figure out some way of keeping all of those capabilities and requirements in your life in balance."Meg - who is famous for starring in romantic comedies including 'Sleepless in Seattle' and 'When Harry Met Sally' - also revealed turning 40 six years ago has not had a major effect oh her life.Meg, who has a 15-year-old son Jack Henry with Dennis and an adopted three-year-old daughter Daisy True, added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "I just don't feel turning 40 is seminal or major in any way. I like my life right now, I really like it. Whatever it's taken to get here, I appreciate."
