Melanie Brown Urges Murphy To 'be Responsible'.... Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has urged her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy to "be responsible" and publicly acknowledge he is the father of her three week old baby.Brown gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown on 3 April (07) in Santa Monica, California - five months after she ended her six month relationship with the Dreamgirls actor.The singer claims Murphy became aware of her pregnancy while they were still together and was "over the moon".She tells British magazine OK!, "We had talked about having a family and getting married. We started talking about whether we should buy a house together, where we could be alone together."Brown insists Murphy was a loving boyfriend and excited about the baby when she flew to her native England to visit her mother last December (06), but when she returned Murphy had ended their relationship and was denying paternity of the tot.Brown explains, "I came to see my mum for a few days as I wanted to see her in person. Then I got a flight home, landed and there is a whole sea of photographers. There were people shouting about a Dna test."I was in complete shock. I tried to call Eddie and couldn't get through.Then I got through and he said he would call me back and that was it. He never called back. I literally couldn't understand what was happening."While Brown was flying home to Los Angeles, Murphy appeared on Dutch TV show Rtl Boulevard, saying, "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test."
She laments, "I was shocked and then I felt a bit disgusted. I don't feel humiliated. I think the only person who has humiliated themselves is Eddie.
"If he wants to do a Dna test, then do it. Step up to the plate and be responsible. I have no doubt that this is Eddie's baby.
"I'm not registering her birth without her dad."

- Mel B Questions Murphy/Edmonds Relationship Brown has questioned the authenticity of ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy's new romance with TV producer Tracey Edmonds.Brown was publicly dumped by the Dreamgirls actor in early December (06) on a Dutch TV show, while she was five months pregnant. Murphy also questioned the paternity of the baby she was carrying.
Days later, Murphy attended the New York premiere of Dreamgirls with Edmonds - ex-wife of singer/producer Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds - who claimed she had been dating the funnyman since late October (06).
Brown, who gave birth to who she claims is Murphy's daughter Angel Iris on 3 April (07), asks, "Is that relationship real?
"When a person acts like that, which is out of character, it's all very odd.
It's hurtful and undignified.
"I wouldn't act like that, not to somebody who I've been telling that I love every day. We had an amazing connection."
