Melanie Brown has been granted a restraining order against an Australian paparazzo accused of endangering the singer's life.
The Spice Girls star, who serves as a judge on reality TV show X Factor Australia, launched legal action against Jamie Fawcett after he allegedly ambushed her and her husband Stephen Belafonte last week, while they were kayaking in Sydney Harbor.
In court papers, Brown claimed Fawcett caused "big waves" in his boat as he approached the singer and her personal assistant on the water, prompting Belafonte to confront Fawcett about his reckless actions.
The argument turned ugly and the snapper reportedly snarled, "You don't know who you are f**king with. I will kill you".
During a hearing on Thursday, Fawcett, who denies the allegations, was ordered to stay at least 160 feet (48.8 metres) away from Brown and her family until their next court date on 22 November.
The paparazzo is no stranger to legal action - he has previously clashed in court with Nicole Kidman amid allegations he planted a bug outside the actress' home in Sydney in 2005.
The two parties subsequently reached an out-of-court settlement.
