Mena Suvari 'Finally Content' With Life

Actress Mena Suvari is refusing to let her recent marriage split get her down, insisting she's "finally content" with her new life as a singleton.

The American Beauty star filed for divorce from concert promoter SimoneSestito in January (12), two years after the couple wed in Vatican City,Italy.

Suvari is now opening up about the break-up to Boston Common magazine, but she is adamant rumors suggesting her fame pushed the pair apart are unfounded.

She says, "I don't let that affect my personal relationships".

Instead, Suvari hints that the split came after a little soul-searching.

She continues, "It's taken years to get to know myself. I had never really taken time to cultivate who I was. I've felt drained by it.

"But I feel like I'm really, finally content at this point in my life. I'm accepting of who I am and how diverse I am and honouring that. All of it".

Suvari, 33, was also previously married to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann.

She divorced him in May 2005.
