Sheen Lands Theatre Director Role

Michael Sheen is following in the footsteps of Kevin Spacey - he has taken on director duties at a top U.K. theatre company.

The FrostNixon star is heading home to his native Wales to act as creative director for the country's National Theatre on a new contemporary take on the Passion Plays, which hits the stage next year (10).

Sheen personally approached the company's artistic director to work on the play in Port Talbot, Wales - and he is thrilled with his new role.

American Beauty star Spacey serves as artistic director for London's Old Vic theatre.
