Mike Myers is set to star in 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'.The 'Austin Powers' star will take the eponymous role in the long-awaited remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye classic.The film - which centres on daydreamer Mitty whose vivid imagination allows him to escape the boredom of everyday life - is being written by Jay Kogen, the writer and producer behind sitcoms 'Frasier' and 'Malcolm in the Middle'.A series of Hollywood names, including Jim Carrey and Owen Wilson, were previously linked to the role. Steven Spielberg was rumoured to be directing the project, but a final decision is yet to be made.The actor, who turns 44 on Friday (25.05.07), is also in discussions with New Line and director Jay Roach about a fourth outing as Austin Powers in a movie told from the perspective of the secret agent's nemesis Dr Evil.Myers is currently promoting animation 'Shrek: The Third' - for which he voiced the title character for the third time.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
