Latest news from the sets of Thor, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Uma Thurman on her flop Motherhood

Hopkins Calls In Lawyers Over Thor Reports

Sir Anthony Hopkins is preparing to consult his lawyers over reports he is causing friction on the set of new fantasy film Thor by constantly criticising his co-star Chris Hemsworth's acting abilities.

The New York Daily News claimed earlier this week (begs29Mar10) that Hopkins, who plays Odin, King of the Norse Gods, was causing problems on the set of the upcoming blockbuster by being overly critical of Hemsworth, who takes on the title role of Thor.

But the report has left the star fuming - and he's already considering legal action over the false allegations, according to his wife Stella.

She tells website GossipCop.com the allegations are a "horrific, vile lie" and reveals the veteran actor will "talk to lawyers" over the matter.

Thurman Film Saved By DVD

Uma Thurman's flop film Motherhood is proving to be a hit on DVD less than a week after only 12 people went to see the movie during its opening weekend in Britain.

The film's failure at the U.K. box office hit the headlines after making a meagre $132 (£82.50) last weekend (26-28Mar10), and it seems that Brits now want to see the flop.

According to Entertainment Weekly, 6,000 copies of the DVD, which was rush released at the beginning of the week (beg29Mar10), have sold in the U.K.

The $5 million (£3.1 million) movie made just $93,000 (£58,100) at the American box office when it was released in October (09).

LaBeouf Wants 'Grittier' Roles

Shia LaBeouf is turning his back on Hollywood blockbusters - because he's desperate to show off his acting abilities in "grittier" movies.

The actor is the star of the hit Transformers franchise and is expected to reprise his role in a third instalment, but admits his dream part would be as troubled teen Holden Caulfield in a big-screen adaptation of The Catcher in the Rye.

He tells FHM magazine, "I really like all that beatnik culture, I think it would be fun, just for my family, and the way that I was raised. I don't know if I'm interested in the blockbuster whimsical stuff any more - I want to be a little ballsier; balls, blood and death, kind of thing... Not outrageously so, just something a little grittier, with a little more meat to chew on."

LaBeouf will next appear alongside girlfriend Carey Mulligan and Michael Douglas and in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
