Nicole Kidman Replaced By Unknown

Nicole Kidman has been replaced by little known British actress Lucy Punch in Woody Allen's new movie.

The Hours star pulled out of the currently untitled project in May (09) due to scheduling conflicts.

But now Punch is set to step into Kidman's role, joining a star-studded line-up including Antonio Banderas, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin and Naomi Watts.

Allen has yet to reveal details of the plot, but shooting is set to begin in London this summer (09).

With his new movie filmmaker Allen, who saw Penelope Cruz scoop a best Supproting Actress for her role in his last film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, is hoping to break his London duck.

he has film in the UK's capital on three other occasions with Match Point, Scoop and Cassandra's Dream all of which struggled both critically and commerically.
