Nicole Richie Hosts Star-Studded 30Th Birthday Party

Nicole Richie celebrated her landmark 30th birthday in style by throwing a lavish birthday party in Los Angeles for her famous friends and family.

The socialite daughter of singer Lionel Richie hit the milestone on Wednesday (21Sep11) and she hosted a black and white-themed fete at the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills that night.

Guests included former child star Ashley Olsen, DJ Samantha Ronson and superproducer Quincy Jones, according to Usmagazine.com.

Richie, who wore a 1920s-style dress to the bash, thanked all her fans for their birthday messages on Twitter.com, writing, "I can't believe theoutpour (sic) of birthday love I am getting on Twitter today!

From the bottom of my heart (& the top), thank you so much!" She also posted a picture of herself posing with her husband Joel Madden, writing, "Mr. and Mrs Over The Hill".
