Noel Gallagher Twitter Page Is a Fake

A spokesperson for Noel Gallagher has warned fans not to be fooled by a fake Twitter.com page announcing false information about the rocker's solo plans.

A prankster created an "official" page on the microblogging site under the name NoelDggallagher and sent followers into a frenzy after promising a single from the star in August (11) and his debut solo album in September (11).

But a representative has moved swiftly to clear up swirling rumours, telling Spinnermusic.co.uk, "It's not official. None of the information on it is correct."

Gallagher walked away from Oasis in 2009 following a bust-up with his brother Liam.
