Oprah Winfrey Fan Restrained

An overeager Oprah Winfrey fan was restrained by security at the Toronto International Film Festival as he attempted to crash a party the talk show queen was hosting.

The media mogul was holding a lavish bash at the Park Hyatt Toronto hotel last week (begs14Sep09) in honor of her new picture Precious, which scooped the People's Choice award at the annual movie event in Canada on Saturday (19Sep09).

But security were alerted to a fan allegedly trying to gain access to the party, according to the New York Daily News.

The unidentified intruder was apprehended on the fifth floor of the hotel, before he could make it to the The Roof Lounge where Winfrey and guests - including Amanda Seyfried and Mena Suvari - were partying.

Winfrey took on the role of executive producer on the movie Precious, which is based on the Novel Push By Sapphire.

The movie follows teenager Precious Jones, played by newcomer Gabourey Sidibe, living in Harlem with her dysfunctional family; she has been impregnated twice by her father and is withstanding a hurtful relationship with her mother.
