Swayze Slams Death Reports

Patrick Swayze has hit out at false reports he has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

The actor moved swiftly on Tuesday (19May09) to deny a Florida radio station's claim he had died.

His representative told People, "Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida. Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment".

It's not the first false report the 56-year-old actor has been forced to dispute since he was diagnosed with cancer last year (08).

Back in March (09) he asked publications to "think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time".

To further underline the Cancer sufferer Patrick Swayze is fighting back after recent tabloid photos suggested he was gravely ill with a new picture of his own.

The Ghost star and his wife Lisa Niemi posed with their dog for a professional snap on their New Mexico ranch last week (ends15May09) and the photograph has been released to assure fans the actor is alive and well.

In the shot, a smiling Swayze wears western attire and appears to be in much better shape than recent tabloid stories and pictures suggest.

Swayze's representative reveals the photo was taken as the actor and his wife played host to friends at their ranch.

The photo was released to the media as new rumors of Swayze's death started circulating on Tuesday morning (19May09).
