Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills have been given a decree nisi. The legal ruling, which allows six weeks for objections against the requested divorce, was made by a judge at London's High Court this morning (12.05.08).Neither Paul or Heather attended the hearing, which deemed their marriage was over because they had been separated for more than two years. A decree absolute will formally end the union in six weeks time, allowing the pair to remarry. The settlement in the pair's divorce saw Heather awarded £24.3 million in March.Meanwhile, Paul has won back 30 valuable paintings from Heather. The Beatles legend - who has a four-year-old daughter, Beatrice, with Heather - originally lent the etchings to the former model to hang in her Brighton home.
